i like the weekend

Ed Yakovich's site, I Like The Weekend, is back, but this time with a different twist. ILTW now serves as Ed's portfolio page, showcasing his graphic and web design skills. Some good stuff on there, but I am still awaiting the return of the Penn State BMX page.

Carne Mag

The people at Bestial Studios sent over this new digital magazine called Carne, which promotes contemporary art and design from all over the world, all set to a very clean design.

Barely Legal, All Ages

Skatepark of Tampa has its own art gallery called Transitions. If you are in the area on new years eve, check out this exhibition featuring some work by NYC photogs and BMX bandits Ryan Bailey, Scott Marceau, and Chad Moore.

Masstransiscope

Masstransiscope is a project created by Bill Brand that was installed in the NYC subway system in 1980 which uses the motion of the train to create a moving picture. I need to go check out if it is still there. Check out the site and video for more info.

Peter Funch | Photography

One camera. One place. Over a period of time. Peter Funch documents New Yorkers over time, not space. He keeps certain pieces from many photos over time by subtracting, not adding layers. VERY interesting.

Yes! Hard Feelings

Dylan Haigh sent through some news that he has started a blog entitled Hard Feelings, where he will feature work from some of his favorite lesser known artists. Dylan has previously done some nice work with Ok Great, so this should be a go-to spot to see some underground talent.
