If you missed it, which you probably did, I filmed Devon's stand up routine at the Reading Comedy Outlet last night. It was a good time and I'm sure Devon will be doing more! Check out his comedy set and the aftermath here!
Carne Mag | Issue 2
Carne is magazine that features some really exceptional work from all types of artists. The lastest issue of Carne mag is now available as a digital download and is definitely worth your time. A couple of my photos are even featured, as well as some from BMX photographer Ricky Adam. Here is a preview of the issue, check it, then hit up http://www.carnemag.com/ for a free download of the entire thing.
TLP Feature | Chad Moore
Chad's photos remind me of fun and wild times that I have shared with my own friends, somewhere at sometime. He does a great job of sparking an emotion that might have been felt by the people who were actually there in the flesh. Thats what photography is all about, isn't it? Originally from Florida, Chad now calls New York City home, but also spends a good deal of time living life on the road. Check out Chad's raw style in the selection below, along with the stories that go with them.
The Third & The Seventh
The Third & The Seventh from Alex Roman on Vimeo.
This is how they describe it - "A FULL-CG animated piece that tries to illustrate architecture art across a photographic point of view where main subjects are already-built spaces. Sometimes in an abstract way. Sometimes surreal." Their website is also filled with amazing still photos. Thanks again to DGH.
La Jetee
Movie comprised of photos only and great narrator/writing. Must watch... "The classic short that inspired Terry Gilliam_s "12 Monkeys". Director Chris Marker_s preffered cut. (Cortos_8)" Click here for larger format viewing. Thanks DGH.
Point of View with Ben Wentzel
We are starting a new feature called Point of View, which will highlight a selected artist's work, along with a statement from the arsist describing his personal style and goals. We stayed close home for our first point of view, featuring the work of TLP friend and emerging photographer from PA, Ben Wentzel. See what he has to offer, and check out his personal site at benwentzel.net.
Cadillac Gyspy
This is the photography of Colin Simmons, who plays drums in Imaginary Friends. I would describe his work as simple, but with great character. See for yourself. Also, check out Colin's blog.
The Hidden Wisdom: Free Range
Check out this event by The Hidden Wisdom, tomorrow night at The Knitting Factory. There will be some images featuring my gf by Marie-Tan Morvan.
